A charter on the use of artificial intelligence was created in Paris. Ten commandments for journalists

The Paris Charter aims to safeguard the right to information by establishing guidelines for the ethical use and development of AI systems within news and information media outlets. It is the product of three months of intense collaboration between AI and journalism specialists, media representatives, and journalism support organizations. The committee, comprised of 32 distinguished personalities, was chaired by Nobel laureate Maria Ressa, with RSF coordinating the collaborative process.

Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya assures she will persist in seeking support for Belarusian independent media and claims negotiations with YouTube advance significantly

On 9 November, the Belarusian democratic leader shared that Belarusians have numerous allies in the global community and she will continue to ask for aid in endorsing independent media. This announcement was made during a seminar held in Vilnius that promotes freedom of the Belarusian press. The event was organized by the embassies of Finland, Ireland, and Norway in Lithuania. The day before, Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya had a meeting with the head of YouTube in Europe. There is some great news for the Belarusian media and audience.

Reporters Without Borders (RSF) has concluded its “Postcards for Maryna” action by delivering hundreds of postcards, letters, and online messages in support of jailed Belarusian editor Maryna Zolatava to Belarusian embassies in seven cities around the world to mark Zolatava’s birthday. Joined by Zolatava’s family and prominent supporters, RSF has sent a clear signal to the Belarusian authorities that the international community is watching Zolatava’s case and demands the release of all 36 jailed media workers in the country.
