    Revo­ca­tion of for­eign media jour­nal­ist press cre­den­tials

    By the deci­sion of the Min­istry of For­eign Affairs of Belarus, all for­eign jour­nal­ist press cre­den­tials issued ear­li­er were revoked. Despite numer­ous attempts, Euro­ra­dio jour­nal­ists did not receive new press cre­den­tials.

    Decree of the Coun­cil of Min­is­ters of the Repub­lic of Belarus of 02.07.2021 No. 378 closed down the cor­re­spon­dent office of the Euro­ra­dio com­pa­ny.

    Declar­ing con­tent extrem­ist

    The Tsen­tral­ny Dis­trict Court of Min­sk declared the con­tents of Euro­ra­dio YouTube and Telegram chan­nels extrem­ist.

     

    Now read­ers may be held admin­is­tra­tive­ly liable under Part 2 Arti­cle 19.11 of the Admin­is­tra­tive Offens­es Code (a fine of $100–300) for dis­sem­i­nat­ing infor­ma­tion link­ing to Euro­ra­dio resources.

    Declar­ing con­tent extrem­ist

    The Tsen­tral­ny Dis­trict Court of Min­sk rec­og­nized the Euro­ra­dio logos (water­marks) as extrem­ist.

     

    Dis­sem­i­na­tion of «extrem­ist infor­ma­tion» is pun­ish­able under Part 2 of Arti­cle 19.11 of the Admin­is­tra­tive Offens­es Code (a fine of $100–300).
