On the evening of Feb­ru­ary 18, the Repub­li­can List of Extrem­ist Mate­ri­als was updat­ed on the web­site of the Min­istry of Infor­ma­tion.

On Feb­ru­ary 12, 2025, three indi­vid­u­als were released from prison in Belarus: jour­nal­ist Andrei Kuznechyk, who had been sen­tenced to six years, activist Ale­na Maushuk, and a U.S. cit­i­zen whose name has not yet been dis­closed. This was announced by the leader of the Belaru­sian pro-democ­ra­cy forces, Svi­at­lana Tsikhanouskaya.

Accord­ing to friends and acquain­tances, Aleh Supruniuk stopped answer­ing phone calls after Jan­u­ary 22. He is also not active on social media.

The Jus­tice for Jour­nal­ists Foun­da­tion and the Belaru­sian Asso­ci­a­tion of Jour­nal­ists have pub­lished a joint report “Attacks on Media Work­ers in Belarus in 2023–2024.”

Dur­ing the Koś­ciuszko Forum in Gdańsk, the Exec­u­tive Direc­tor of the Euro­pean Endow­ment for Democ­ra­cy (EED), Jerzy Pomi­anows­ki, high­light­ed the effi­cien­cy of Belaru­sian media in exile. He also empha­sized that “fatigue with Belarus” is not a wide­spread phe­nom­e­non.
