In an interview to the Radio Svaboda, the chair of CEC Lidziya Yarmoshyna said that all candidates to the Supervisory Council had been suggested by the Ministry of Information. However, she added that the body was still open for suggestions from “the alternative journalistic union”, i.e. from BAJ.

The parliamentary elections are scheduled for September 11, 2016.
