  • BAJ Chair to be questioned tomorrow in case of harm to national security

On December 16, BAJ chairman Andrei Bastunets will have to come to the Central office of the Investigative Committee of Belarus for interrogation.

Bastunets is summoned to come at 10:00 am as a witness in a criminal case, instigated under Article 361 of the Criminal Code (calls to actions aimed at causing harm to the national security of the Republic of Belarus).

The chairman of BAJ learned that from a phone call of the investigator. Andrei Bastunets has no idea of what this is about.

Belarusian Association of Journalists is a voluntary, non-governmental, non-partisan association of citizens who are engaged in professional journalism or contribute to its development. In recent months, BAJ is very much involved in supporting its members whose rights are massively violated.
