Barys Haretski — Deputy Chairman of The Belarusian Association of Journalists

Deputy chair­man of the Belaru­sian Asso­ci­a­tion of Jour­nal­ists, one of the heads of the orga­ni­za­tion. He man­ages the infor­ma­tion depart­ment of BAJ (infor­ma­tion prod­ucts), and also coor­di­nates the jour­nal­is­tic com­mu­ni­ty, coor­di­nat­ing work with Belaru­sian jour­nal­ists, media edi­tors and a num­ber of inter­na­tion­al part­ners.

2013 – 2014 - coor­di­na­tor of the project «Towards the abo­li­tion of the death penal­ty in Belarus» («Non-death penal­ty — because we are peo­ple»). Orga­ni­za­tion and hold­ing of two con­tests of jour­nal­is­tic mate­ri­als; orga­ni­za­tion of a num­ber of train­ings for jour­nal­ists on the top­ic of the death penal­ty and the work of the pen­i­ten­tiary sys­tem in the Repub­lic of Belarus, fea­tures of prepar­ing mate­ri­als about courts and law enforce­ment agen­cies.
