  • Homiel: Freelance Journalist Kastus Zhukouski Received another Police Report on Administrative Offense for His Professional Work

The police have handed over the 6th report on administrative offense to a freelance journalist Kastus Zhukouski since the beginning of this year.

This time, a chief lieutenant Aliaksandr Antonienka from Buda-Kashaliova District Police Department has accused the freelance reporter for the alleged violation of part 2, article 22.9 of Belarus Code on Administrative Offenses.

The journalist’s footage about a poor ecological situation with severe air pollution at a local pig breeding complex was used in a report, prepared by the Belsat TV channel.

By now, the total sum of fines, imposed by courts on the freelance reporter for his professional work has amounted to 5060 Belarusian rubles (around EUR 2300) since the beginning of the year.
