Journalist Ales Liubianchuk criminally detained, grounds unknown

On May 26, in the village of Kryvichy (Iuje District), police detained journalist Ales Liubianchuk.
Ales’ house was searched. The journalist was taken to the Investigative Committee in Minsk and detained under a criminal case. The grounds for detention are unknown.
Ales has not worked in the media for more than a year, he studies local lore.
