Journalists Daria Chultsova and Katsiaryna Andreyeva sentenced to 2 years of imprisonment

This deci­sion was pro­nounced by Frun­zen­s­ki dis­trict court of Min­sk judge Natalia Buhuk.

She ful­ly sat­is­fied the request of pros­e­cu­tor Ali­na Kasyanchyk.

The jour­nal­ists are to serve 2 years in jail, while their equip­ment is to be seized, and day plan­ners – destroyed.

Kat­siary­na and Daria were stream­ing on 15 Novem­ber 2020 from the «Square of Changes». The judge found them guilty under Arti­cle 342 part 1 of the Crim­i­nal Code (orga­niz­ing and prepar­ing activ­i­ties that gross­ly vio­late the pub­lic order).
