Journalists Daria Chultsova and Katsiaryna Andreyeva sentenced to 2 years of imprisonment

Journalists Daria Chultsova and Katsiaryna Andreyeva were sentenced to 2 years of imprisonment this morning.
This decision was pronounced by Frunzenski district court of Minsk judge Natalia Buhuk.
She fully satisfied the request of prosecutor Alina Kasyanchyk.
The journalists are to serve 2 years in jail, while their equipment is to be seized, and day planners – destroyed.
Katsiaryna and Daria were streaming on 15 November 2020 from the «Square of Changes». The judge found them guilty under Article 342 part 1 of the Criminal Code (organizing and preparing activities that grossly violate the public order).
