Letter of solidarity from the Index on Censorship with Belarusian journalists

Index on Cen­sor­ship would like to take this oppor­tu­ni­ty to thank you, the Belaru­sian Asso­ci­a­tion of Jour­nal­ists, for the incred­i­bly impor­tant work that you do. With­out the infor­ma­tion and sta­tis­tics you col­late and pub­lish, we would not have as clear a pic­ture of the extent to which jour­nal­ists are being per­se­cut­ed by the regime.

We know that your com­mit­ment to bring­ing this infor­ma­tion to light comes at great per­son­al risk and sac­ri­fice and we want you to know that your resilience and deter­mi­na­tion to pro­mote and pro­tect free­dom of expres­sion in the face of such heinous oppres­sion does not go unno­ticed. It is huge­ly val­ued and appre­ci­at­ed.
