  • Iryna NOVIK. PARENTS OF REBELS

A usual family, you might think at a glance, like thousands of others. But…

    PARENTS OF REBELS

Young family of Antos and Nasta Yankouskiya from Hrodna live by playing, as games have gradually grown into their daily pastime and suddenly became work for them.

To produce their first game Paustantsy (Rebels), they used the money from wedding presents. This is how the family business started – a story of authored Belarusian culture oriented table games. The next sets were called Mova (Language), Haspadar Cmokau (The Master of Dragons) and Try Kity (Three Whales).

The Belarusian language and traditional culture are part and parcel of everyday life for Antos and Nasta. Like, for instance, they celebrated their wedding in hand-made folk suits.

Last year the family became true parents, with the newborn son Mikhas.

Next year, to celebrate the anniversary of the 1863 — 1864 uprising headed by national hero Kastus Kalinouski, the family are planning to reissue the game Paustantsy 2.0.
