The apartment in question belongs to his parents, and the journalist’s personal belongings were not stored there.

The apartment of Vitsebsk freelance journalist Dzmitry Kazakevich will be confiscated for the benefit of the state and sold as “compensation for damage caused by sanctions”. This was claimed by propagandist Ihar Tur in a May 20 program on state-run All-National TV.

Today marks the 32nd birthday of Ihar Losik, who has been incarcerated for almost four years. He is currently serving a 15-year sentence at the Navapolatsk Correctional Facility No. 1. This is the longest sentence for Belarusian independent journalists and bloggers.
BAJ deputy chairman’s home searched in Belarus
On May 17, law enforcement officers conducted a search of the apartment in which Barys Haretski, deputy chairman of the Belarusian Association of Journalists, is registered in Minsk. A criminal case has been opened against him, but the reason for this is not yet known.
