    The BAJ Chairperson Presented Expert Review of Draft Changes in Mass Media Law to Minister of Information

    The BAJ Chairperson Andrei Bastunets had a meeting with the Minister of Information of Belarus Aliaksandr Karliukevich on April 6, 2018. The BAJ Chairperson handed over expert review of draft amendments to the Belarus law ‘On Mass Media’ to the minister.

    The Belarusian Association of Journalists has received a draft law of Belarus ‘On Introduction of Changes and Amendments to Some Laws of Belarus’ from the Standing Committee on Human Rights, National Relations, and Mass Media.     Before the interview, some colleagues teased me, “Ask her when the last time she interviewed someone was.” Like, she is the chairperson of a journalist organization but she has forgotten what it is like to be a journalist. However, answering this provocative question, Zhanna Mikalajeuna began earnestly recall her talks with Heroes of Socialist Labor, chairpersons of kolkhozes etc. It was so realistic that her answers have not even fit in the final version of this article.
