Independent journalist Aliaksandr Ihnatsiuk arrested

Aliaksandr Ihnatsiuk, a freelance journalist and video blogger from Pinsk, was detained some time ago, the Brest office of Viasna HRC reports.
The journalist owns the website and TikTok page about the Stolin town.
His arrest was not reported for a long time since he has been living in seclusion for some time. Aliaksandr’s friends were worried that he had been out of contact for a long time.
Aliaksandr Ihnatsiuk is held in Brest remand center. Human rights activists think he might face charges under Article 361–4 of the Criminal Code for promoting extremist activity.
